Some of the Jazz Co-op’s tutors can be found in action this weekend at the Ipswich Jazz Festival running over the 22nd-24th June 2018 period.
In particular, Stars at St. Peters taking place on the Saturday sees Branden Allen and Vasilis Xenoupoulos take to the stage as part of a group supporting Ian Shaw.
Although this site will remain as a source of the current and future programmes etc, other more current information such as which tunes will we be performing in the upcoming session as well as comments on the sessions just passed will be available here on Facebook. This blog will no longer be updated.
On 11 October22 November 2014 17 January 2015, the saxophone maestro and educationalist Alan Barnes will be returning to the Cambridge Jazz Co-op. The members of the jazz co-op will able to meet him as usual in morning session (11 am to 1:30 pm) for the regular to price of £10. Members and non-members alike can meet him in an afternoon session taking place between 2 pm and 4 pm that will cost £15. If you are unfamiliar with the Cambridge Jazz Co-op, please investigate the website a bit more and check out the FAQ where you will find details on our location and details on how to become a member. The Blue Moon pub is no longer available as a venue for the Cambridge Jazz Co-op. While we find a more permanent location, we are returning to the The Meadows Community Centre.
Please ensure that you turn up at the correct location to avoid disappointment.
After a brief residency at the Meadows Community Centre, we have returned to the location of the Man on the Moon pub, which is now under new management and is now the Blue Moon.
We shall be at the Blue Moon starting Saturday, 15th February 2014.
The location should be familiar to regular members of the jazz co-op, but see here for more details on how to find it.
The Cambridge Jazz Co-op has now moved from our old Man on the Moon venue to The Meadows Community Centre. Please ensure that you turn up at the correct location to avoid disappointment.
The amazing jazz guitarist and Associate Professor at Berklee, Sheryl Bailey will be visiting us on June 15 for a morning session with the Cambridge Jazz Co-op regulars and also for an afternoon Master class between 2:00 and 4:00.
The morning session is for Co-op members only, so please don’t just turn up if you are not a member otherwise you may be disappointed.
The afternoon Master class session is open to Co-op members and non-members alike and will be £15.00. If you are interested, please let us know you are coming by dropping us a line here to book a place.
